With the first half of September nearly over, Spider-Man 2 is not too far from release, and Insomniac Games has added to the game’s excitement, claiming the world may not be prepared for it.
Following the first reveal of the game, the developer has been steadily sharing new information through interviews, trailers, and screenshots, recently sharing updated screenshots of New York and a few of the game’s major characters.
A few hours ago, the studio also confirmed that even more Spider-Man 2 details are coming on September 15.
Why it matters: The upcoming previews should provide a good overview of the game’s content and new additions, allowing players to evaluate a purchase decision ahead of release.

Insomniac Games confirmed that the studio invited content creators and press to play the game this week.
The media will be able to share its impressions of the game on September 15 once the embargo lifts, bringing a plethora of new details, gameplay, and screenshots for the highly anticipated release.
In addition to the previews, Spider-Man 2 may receive another trailer soon. Multiple reliable insiders have hinted at a potential State of Play for September, which is expected to deliver another major look at the massive PS5 exclusive.
Insomniac Games has already revealed an extensive gameplay segment from Spider-Man 2, highlighting Kraven, the symbiote suit, and the instant switching between the two playable characters.
However, like the previous games, the studio has packed plenty of secrets and surprises for players to discover, and several more minutes of gameplay could be shown in the coming days.
Leading up to the release, games like Alan Wake 2 and Alone in the Dark have cleared a path for Spider-Man 2 to shine in the spotlight.
The game is expected to be nearly twice as large as its predecessor in terms of storage size on the PS5, leading to the potential of a more detailed world and another breathtaking adventure as Spider-Man.
