AMD To Launch Enthusiast Level RDNA 3 Graphics Cards Soon

More AMD GPUs Coming Soon!

During its quarterly earning call, AMD hinted toward its plans to launch enthusiast-level graphics cards for the Radeon 7000 series. As reported by Videocardz, the AMD CEO said:

“We are on track to further expand our RDNA 3 offerings with the launch of new enthusiast class Radeon 7000-series cards in the third quarter.”

Rumors regarding the new AMD RDNA3-based graphics cards have made the rounds for a while. However, AMD might finally be ready to launch the Radeon RX 7800 and 7700 series graphics card.

AMD 16GB VRAM Graphics Card

Currently, it is unknown why AMD had to delay the launch of these enthusiast-level graphics cards.

Recent launches like the Radeon RX 7600 have not been received well, and the abundance of the Radeon RX 6000 series may be one of the reasons for the delayed launch of current-generation products.

Manufacturers like Nvidia and AMD have historically led lineups with high-end graphics cards. Therefore, AMD could be gearing up to release the Radeon RX 7800 XT in the coming months.

The Radeon RX 7700 XT will likely follow soon after. In terms of performance, both graphics cards should deliver noticeable uplifts over last-generation RDNA2 offerings from AMD.

Pricing will be an important factor for AMD in the coming months. Since Nvidia has introduced major price hikes, AMD could gain market share with aggressive pricing on high-end products.

However, AMD has shown a tendency to release GPUs at less than spectacular prices. This leads to poor reception at launch, deterring the general consumer from AMD products in the market.

This is followed by aggressive price drops from AMD, but the gaming giant needs to change its approach to establish itself as a dominant GPU manufacturer in the PC gaming market.

While recent products from Nviida have performed poorly, the gaming giant is unlikely to drop prices anytime soon. Therefore, Nvidia’s absurd prices and the upcoming GPUs should provide a great opportunity for AMD to gain market share from Nvidia.
