Remnant 2 is finally available for all players. Prior to its full release, the game faced criticism from PC users as the developers claimed the PC port was designed around upscaling.

Despite the heavy criticism, the game has been a massive hit on Steam, reaching over 80K concurrent players.

Why it matters: The current year is packed with big releases. With an abundance of high-profile AAA releases, Remnant 2 has managed to stand out on Steam, reaching thousands of players at launch.

As seen above, the game reached nearly 83K concurrent players on the first day of its release, and at the time of writing, over 47k players are currently enjoying the title. 

Remnant 2 has a lot to offer to its fans, and this may have attracted thousands of people to try the release. According to Gunfire Games, no one has seen 100% of the game yet, even after playing for over 400 hours.

The developer stated that gamers who love secrets and exploration are in for a treat. Furthermore, Remnant 2 is also the best-selling game on Steam. 

The game is currently the number one title on the best-selling list of Steam, and it has stayed in this spot for several days. Remnant 2 beat anticipated titles like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for this spot.

While this list also contains free-to-play titles like CS:GO and Apex Legends, Remnant 2 has outpaced all kinds of competition.

The standard edition of Remnant 2 is available at just $50. The lower price tag appears to have given the game an advantage over competing titles, as it breaks away from the trend of increasing prices in the industry.

In terms of critical reception, the title is no slouch. It currently sits at an average of 80/100 on Metacritic. Gunfire Games appears to have done an excellent job with the title, and the developer is likely to bring even more players to Remnant 2 when it goes on sale in the coming months.
