Armored Core 6 Previews Reportedly Coming Next Week

Gameplay Potentially Coming Too!

Armored Core 6 is the next big game from developer Fromsoftware, officially set to release on August 25. FromSoftware’s current reputation has excited millions of fans, motivating newcomers to look into the franchise.

This has also caused a surge in the value of older Armored games, with some now selling for up to $200. With the game nearing release, marketing is expected to pick up the pace soon.

Following Summer Game Fest, reports claim that new Armored Core gameplay has been shown to the press. Additionally, the press appears to have signed an embargo, with Armored Core previews expected to arrive next week.

Why it matters: Armored Core has not reached the popularity of other FromSoftware franchises, since the series has not been revisited for over a decade. However, this could change with Armored Core 6.

As seen above, the popular journalist Jason Schreier has also teased something related to Bandai Namco. FromSoftware has a long history of partnering with Bandai Namco, and the publisher is also involved in Armored Core 6.

While Bandai Namco likely has other games for the press, Armored Core 6 is launching in just over two months. Combining the earlier reports with Jason Schreier’s tease makes it highly likely that Armored Core 6 information is coming soon.

Since the press has likely received lots of information, fans could also see uncut gameplay for the Armored Core game. The latest trailer showed several gameplay sequences, but many fans are still curious about FromSoftware’s upcoming title.

Armored Core 6 will be very different from previous FromSoftware games. The franchise is known for fast-paced combat, and the upcoming entry will also ditch Elden Ring’s open world for denser, linear levels that facilitate the movement options.

Besides the new game, FromSoftware is also working on a new expansion for Elden Ring, with more details on the DLC expected to be revealed in the coming months.
