Older Armored Core Games Selling For Up To $200 After Armored Core 6 Reveal

Prices Are Much Higher Than Before!

FromSoftware is finally revisiting the Armored Core franchise after over a decade without any new entries. The next title is set to be released on August 25, and following the recent reveal trailer, it has joined the most anticipated games of 2023.

With audiences looking forward to the title, the prices of old Armored Core games have also shot up, with some games costing as much as $200.

Why it matters: Since Armored Core 6 will be released soon, many newcomers have shown interest in playing the older games. However, this move could mean that playing the older games will be harder for those who prefer to buy physical copies.

Looking at the prices, Armored Core on the original PlayStation was selling close to a price of $80, but after the recent hype, some copies have exceeded $200.

Others also claim a similar price increase has been observed in regions like Japan. This price increase extends to nearly all generations of the franchise. Even recent games on the PS3 platform are now selling for much higher prices.

The rarity of these games could also be the reason behind the current prices. Many of these games are likely targets for retro collectors, and the price appears to reflect that. However, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon’s influence on the prices cannot be denied.

After the recent success of Elden Ring, millions of new fans are looking forward to Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. The combat mechanics, combined with the fast-paced traversal highlighted in the recent trailer, have captured the attention of players worldwide.

With various impressive games like Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and more, FromSoftware has a history of impressing fans. As such, Armored Core 6 is shaping up to be another exciting title from the popular developer.

Are you excited about the game? Do you think it will be a remarkable title?
