Saints Row 2022 Expected To Release On Steam Soon

Finally Coming To Steam!

Saints Row is the latest installment of the series, and it was released on August 23, 2022. Many fans anticipated the game, but it did not live up to previous games in the franchise.

While the game was released on many consoles, the PC version was limited to Epic Games Store. However, Saints Row might be coming to Steam soon.

Why it matters: Steam has a far bigger player base than Epic Games Store, and for several reasons, many prefer Steam over Epic Games.

Previously, a page on SteamDB was named Project Athena. This page has existed for several years, and it has now been changed to Saints Row, hinting that the game is coming to Steam soon.

The developer has also pointed to a Steam release at some point in 2023. However, no date or release window was provided, but the SteamDB change suggests a release date is right around the corner.

This could also boost sales, considering the large gap in user base between Epic Games Store and Steam. Saints Row may also launch at a discounted price on the platform since it is approaching its first anniversary in a few months.

Despite its fresh take on the franchise, Saints Row failed to revive the franchise. Embracer Group lost $100 million on the game, and it saw no shortage of disappointing reviews at launch.

However, a Steam release could bring much-needed changes to the game and bring new life into the title with a new player base. Would you buy Saints Row on Steam? Have you played the older games? Let’s discuss this in the comments.
