Another Hint At Metal Gear Solid!

There are five main installments in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The last main installment was released over eight years ago in 2015 with Metal Gear Solid 5. However, fans have been waiting to see the franchise return since then.

While nothing has been confirmed officially, a recent teaser could be pointing to a return for Metal Gear Solid. The Hogwarts Legacy composer, J Scott Rakozy, has recently posted an Instagram story with the Metal Gear Solid theme.

Many fans believe this could be the latest hint at Metal Gear Solid Remake.

Why it matters: The long-awaited return of the Metal Gear Solid franchise has been rumored for several months, and the latest information provides further evidence that a remake is in development.

The story could point to the composer’s involvement with the project.

Metal Gear Solid has iconic theme songs, and Konami may be involved in working with the Hogwarts Legacy composer after the game’s recent success. A modern rendition of the IP would also require a newer version of the iconic themes.

However, it is also possible that the composer is a fan of the theme and is not involved in the project. Therefore, it would be best to take this with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation.

It is no surprise that Konami is interested in revisiting older IPs. The publisher announced a plethora of Silent Hill games not too long ago, including a remake for Silent Hill 2. As such, it has been speculated that Metal Gear Solid will receive similar treatment.

Previously, reliable sources have claimed that Metal Gear Solid Remake would launch in 2024, with a reveal planned for E3. While E3 has been canceled, the game might still be officially revealed next month.

Rumors have also claimed that the remake could be exclusive to PS5. Nonetheless, the potential return of Metal Gear Solid sounds exciting, and it would open up new opportunities for the series by introducing new fans to the popular stealth-action franchise.
