Forza Motorsport Summer Release Teased By Microsoft

Releasing In Summer 2023?

Forza Motorsport will bring Microsoft’s racing franchise back to a greater focus on sim racing. Currently, the title is in a polishing state and will be released in 2023.

Previously, the game was slated for a release date in spring, but in January, it was reported that it may have been delayed to the later part of the year. However, Microsoft Game Dev appears to be teasing a summer release for Forza Motorsport.

Why it matters: The Forza series of racing games has been consistently among Microsoft’s best AAA games, and Forza Motorsport is expected to be no different. However, not much has been said about the game’s release date for a while, leading to worries about a longer delay.

Previous reports claimed that the game could launch in Q3 or even later. However, fans will be glad that the latest teaser from Microsoft points to an earlier release.

A summer release date would allow Microsoft to ensure that Forza Motorsport that does not release close to Starfield, which is coming in September. Both games should be big AAA releases for Xbox in 2023, and this would allow them to shine without potential clashes.

Forza Motorsport will come with over 500 cars for fans to customize. There will also be more than 800 unique upgrades available for the game, so fans will be able to customize cars to their liking.

The title will also bring 100 brand-new cars to the series. The Vehicle Art Director at Turn 10 Studios described them as:

“The most modern race cars we’ve ever featured on our roster.”

Moreover, fans will be able to race in 20 different environments, which will change according to the weather.

The release date of Forza Motorsport is not set in stone yet, and the summer release is nothing more than a tease for now. While fans will likely be excited at this prospect, keeping expectations in check before official confirmation would be best.

Do you think Microsoft Game Dev is teasing a release date?
