A Plague Tale: Requiem was among the best releases on Xbox Game Pass last year. Just a few days after the game’s release, it became the third most popular game on Xbox Game Pass. Moreover, it sold over 1 million copies in just two weeks.
Adding to its success, A Plague Tale: Requiem is now officially verified for Steam Deck. This means that Asobo Studios’ latest release can be played on the handheld without major issues.

Previously, the game was playable on the Steam Deck. However, it struggled to run well on the limited hardware found in Valve’s handheld console, dropping as low as 24 FPS at times.
This may have changed with the game now being Steam Deck verified, and fans can expect further testing on the Steam Deck in the coming days now that Valve has certified the game.
Unfortunately, there is still no news for console fans regarding the game supporting 60 FPS on consoles, as it cannot reach this target on PlayStation and Xbox.
A Plague Tale: Requiem has previously received positive reception across the board, with a recent job listing also pointing to a follow-up from Asobo Studio.
For those who have still not tried the game, the Steam Deck provides an excellent opportunity to take the latest Plague Tale adventure on the go. The game can also be found on Game Pass, among other platforms.
Will you try the game now that it is Steam Deck verified? Let us know in the comments.
