iPhone 15 Pro And Pro Max To Feature Haptic Touch-Sensitive Buttons

Farewell To Physical Buttons After 16 Years?

Every time Apple announces a new iPhone, millions worldwide prepare to see the presentation event and the news they bring. With the iPhone 14, we noticed that Apple focused on getting all the information to the Pro models.

This decision to add changes to the more expensive models will continue to exist since the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will say goodbye to physical buttons, even the well-known power button.

Foreign website 9to5Mac has learned from an inside source that the new volume buttons will be unified with a new Haptic Touch-Sensitive button. This implies that the one volume-control button will function in both ways.

These buttons will use Apple’s Taptic Engine technology, which we have already seen in the Force Touch trackpad on the MacBook or the haptic response of the keyboard in iOS 16. We can expect the next iPhone 15 Pro to have up to three haptic engines inside, giving us a fully tactile response.

In the fall of this year, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be released, and with them, many modifications have already been reported in other news. The iPhone 15 Pro is anticipated to contain USB-C to comply with European laws, 8GB of RAM, rounded corners, and a titanium frame.

After all of this was implemented, a render that resembled the final design of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be seen above.

We can summarize all this as Apple’s interest in leaving behind the physical buttons. If everything goes according to the leaks, we could have the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max this year, similar to the above-rendered image. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will continue to use physical buttons.

What are your thoughts on this new approach from Apple? Will other companies follow the same trend for their flagship smartphones in the upcoming years?
