  • Sharma has shown a strong intention of helping Xbox get back to its glory days.

Xbox hasn’t had too much success in recent years in terms of both hardware and software. Due to this, the company has lost a good chunk of its loyal players, who have shown regular frustration over Xbox’s lack of content.

However, the new Xbox CEO is determined to put things right, and fans think that she is already doing better than Phil Spencer. She says that Xbox has planned major changes to win back the frustrated players.

Why it matters: The gaming giant hasn’t been what we grew accustomed to in the 360 days, when the hardware and software both were at their peak, and gave solid competition to PlayStation; now it’s just a mere shadow of it.

Asha Sharma says they aim to win back the frustrated fans

At a recent employee meeting (via The Verge), Asha Sharma highlighted what she plans for the future of Xbox. She stated that players are very frustrated with them because their console and PC presence has been lacking.

Players are frustrated with us. We have to fix the fundamentals on console and PC. We have to sweat every single detail and every single part of the experience to get to fun much faster

– Asha Sharma

They want to make their console and PC presence stronger

Sharma committed that they aim to restoring the core values of the company. This includes a strong focus on both consoles and hardware. They’ll sweat every little detail to make it fun again and win back the fans.

The return towards hardware focus has been prominent since Sharma took over. Spencer had taken them in a very different direction, where Xbox had become more of a publisher, and fans didn’t appreciate it much.
