Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, revealing an April 23 reveal date. Following this announcement, various clips of the remake have also leaked online, and a new report has provided further clarity regarding the status of multiplayer and additional content originally released for Assassin’s Creed 4.

Later in the report, the outlet states that Ubisoft plans to use Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced to gauge the potential for future remakes. Effectively, the success of this title will determine whether the publisher releases more remakes in the future.

The report also states that at least one other remake is in the works at Ubisoft currently. Although not confirmed, it was previously speculated that the French gaming giant was remaking the original Assassin’s Creed.
