The Silent Hill series has always given players chills, and the games under this franchise are loved by fans worldwide. However, the series had to endure a long wait, and now, after an extremely long wait, it appears to be finally back on track as Konami recently revealed the series’ future for the upcoming few years.
Konami announced several Silent Hill titles, including Silent Hill 2 Remake, a new title dubbed Silent Hill f, and a multiplayer game called Silent Hill: Ascension. While this is great news, fans were still a bit surprised as Silent Hill: The Short Message, which had been circulating online for quite some while, went unmentioned.
There hasn’t been much information revealed about the game. However, the Taiwanese games rating board recently rated Silent Hill: The Short Message for the PlayStation 5. The game got a PG-15 rating from the board.
The game was previously rated in South Korea, but no details were provided on the platforms on which it would be released. However, the recent rating in Taiwan was for the PlayStation 5 console only, introducing the potential that the game might be a permanent or timed PlayStation 5 exclusive like the Silent Hill 2 remake.
There have been leaks that revealed much information about the other announced Silent Hill games, but Silent Hill: The Short Message has been going under the radar. However, many are speculating it to be a short demo like PT.
In addition, it appears that Konami will not only be making the days of Silent Hill fans in the coming years but also Metal Gear Solid fans, as the series producer has teased a “long-awaited” project for 2023, which many are assuming to be Metal Gear Solid.
We are excited and looking forward to Silent Hill: The Short Message. This is the limited information we have for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding Silent Hill: The Short Message in the future.
