To Support Apex Legends For 10-20 Years!

Respawn Entertainment has become one of the most successful developers in the live-service gaming genre. The developer’s battle-royal title, Apex Legends, became an instant hit in 2019 and has not shown any signs of slowing down since then.

With Apex Legends’ continued growth, the developer is now expanding to accommodate this rapid progress. Respawn has opened a new studio in Wisconsin, with Ryan Burnett joining the team.

Ryan Burnett will bring decades of experience with FPS and live-service games. The developer was previously part of Raven Software, a team that has been extremely important to the Call of Duty franchise.

Recently, Apex Legends reached a new all-time high concurrent peak on Steam. Despite various competing battle-royal games, Apex Legends has held its own, and Respawn Entertainment wants to support the game for two decades.

The game’s unique characters, skill-based movement mechanics, and satisfying gunplay have helped Apex Legends stand out from other battle royal offerings, leading to more ambitions from Respawn.

This new studio should help the team support its most successful product while Respawn Entertainment works on other projects like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the previously announced Star Wars first-person shooter game.
