Moreover, PlatinumGames seems to be working on multiple projects at the moment, and we have spotted a job listing for a Game Designer, which states that an online action game is in the works at the studio.

According to the “Desired Skills” section in the job listing, the team is seeking to hire someone with experience in online action games. This part is emphasized twice, practically confirming that this is an online live-service title.
For the unaware, PlatinumGames previously tried its hand at live-service gameplay with Babylon’s Fall. Although this title ultimately proved to be a major failure, the team confirmed that it would not abandon the genre altogether.
Therefore, it appears that the new project is part of PlatinumGames’ ongoing focus on live-service gaming. The same job listing also mentions “open-field games,” implying that the team is looking to incorporate open-world elements into the title.
