Even Phil Spencer Has Joined The Fallout Hype!

Story Highlight
  • Fallout has everyone’s attention after Amazon’s TV show premiered.
  • The excitement continues to expand and has reached Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who was seen online on Fallout 76 recently.
  • Fans want to see Phil Spencer supporting this game till the launch of Fallout 5.

Much like the nukes in Fallout, this franchise has exploded in popularity. Whether it be a game as old as Fallout New Vegas or the now-revamped Fallout 76, millions have returned to the IP over the course of this month.

In fact, the series is so popular that Xbox boss Phil Spencer appears to have joined the community.

Why it matters: This is yet another instance that shows how big the Fallout fever is currently. It seems that everyone, from the general consumers to major executives, has been pulled in.

As noted by users on Twitter, Phil Spencer was spotted online on Fallout 76 recently. Others have noted that the Xbox boss hit level 100 in the game earlier this month, so he seems to have spent more than a few hours on the franchise in April.

While it is great to see Phil Spencer supporting his first-party output, this isn’t anything too out of the ordinary for the Xbox boss. Last month, a Reddit user shared a random encounter with the Microsoft Gaming CEO in the same game.

Similar encounters were also reported last year, highlighting that Phil Spencer likes to revisit Fallout 76 every now and then. However, his latest visit seems to have been sparked by the Amazon TV adaptation.

Following the current resurgence, players have asked him to support this Bethesda release with more development resources. Ultimately, they hope to see the game supported till Fallout 5.

On that note, Microsoft has reportedly begun plans to get Fallout 5 out quicker than initially expected.

Fallout 76 Is Just Begging To Be Revisited

Like Phil Spencer, we were keen on returning to Fallout 76 this month. Our first impressions were quite positive, encouraging us to play the game again. Fallout 76 may not be talked about as one of gaming’s best comebacks, but it certainly isn’t too far behind.

The game may not have made strides on par with No Man’s Sky or Cyberpunk 2077, but Bethesda’s improvements are no small feat. This online spin-off has come into its own in the last few years, making it worth your attention despite the abysmal launch from 2018.
