Why You Should Play Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition During The Holidays

Story Highlight
  • Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition brings the best of Bethesda’s latest Fallout single-player edition.
  • Picking the right store for the game can lead to plenty of savings during the Holidays.
  • The Anniversary Edition is also recommended for newcomers since it offers a bunch of extra content.

Following Bethesda’s highly successful Fallout TV series last year and what many dubbed a resurgence for the franchise, interest in Fallout has been higher than ever. To capitalize on this interest, the team finally launched Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition last month.

However, before picking up Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, it may be worth considering all options at hand. Each option has its own pros and cons, so careful consideration is extremely important.

Why it matters: Bethesda has yet to release a brand new single-player Fallout title after Fallout 4, so this entry remains the latest and most modern rendition of the RPG series fans can experience today.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition

Fallout 4 Launched 10+ Years Ago

For context, this version of Fallout 4 celebrates the game’s 10th anniversary, bundling the full game, six additional DLCs, Nuka World, and three workshop packs. It also comes with a massive bundle of 150 Creation Club items.

Those who played Skyrim Anniversary Edition will likely recognize this perk, so this is certainly a nice add-on. Elsewhere, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition comes with plenty of community-created content, like new locations and characters and quests from famous Bethesda modders.

Fallout 4 Is Great

Of course, Fallout 4 itself is quite the game already. At release, it quickly became one of Bethesda’s most popular RPGs, even if the reception was somewhat divisive compared to past titles.

This particular entry in the Fallout IP is set in 2287 after the Great War. It initially begins in 2077 and effectively serves as a prequel in the timeline. Players take on the role of Nora or Nate, one of the spouses managing to reach Vault 111 with their son Shaun.

Following a short introduction sequence, things quickly go south in Fallout 4, giving players the mission to survive in the harsh wasteland.

Buying Options

Fallout 4 2023 Update
Fallout 4 Still Deserves Your Attention

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition can be purchased across both official and third-party stores. Whether on console or PC, options like PSN, Xbox, and Steam offer a quick way to grab the game.

However, other places like G2A.COM, Eneba, Green Man Gaming, etc, offer an alternative that can be just as good while being cost-effective. In G2A.COM’s case, it offers plenty of sellers to pick from when buying keys. The store also offers plenty of offers, payment methods, and instant delivery. Finally, G2A.COM boasts various discounts and bundles, with the G2A Plus subscription making these deals even better.

On the other hand, Eneba offers a clean interface and instant delivery. The benefit here comes from the fact that Eneba has seller ratings, cashbacks, and even refunds in certain cases.

A storefront like Steam needs no introduction. It offers an incredibly intuitive buying experience, with bonuses like cloud saves, achievements, and more being the icing on top.

Elsewhere, Green Man Gaming features keys from authorized resellers. This store is extremely secure and offers customer support, loyalty programs, and more for further customer satisfaction.

Finally, Loaded, formerly known as CDKeys, offers low prices and fast deliveries. It remains famous for its discounts and affiliate programs.

The Final Decision

Needless to say, Fallout 4 is a great game that deserves your attention to this day. The Anniversary Edition is also perfect for newcomers looking for the full package since it includes all expansions, 150 Creation Club additions, and the “Finding Shaun” story in a refreshed manner.

However, it’s recommended to compare the game’s pricing and various offers across all storefronts before jumping the gun on a purchase. It’s always a good idea to look for the best deals and browse all trusted sources when buying games or DLCs.

Also, it’s worth checking out G2A.COM when looking for a deal on Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. The gaming subscription even offers bonuses and further discounts, in addition to free titles each month.

“It’s All The French’s Fault!” Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Developers Joke About Their TGA 2025 Snub

Story Highlight
  • The official Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 account on X posted a dialogue from the game that says, “Blame the French!”
  • Warhorse poked fun at Expedition 33 as it swept every category Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was in.
  • But, it was all in good fun as Warhorse community manager later posted a picture with Sandfall Developers.

Many fans believed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 would win Game of the Year when it launched in February. The role-playing title received universal acclaim from critics and fans alike and went on to sell over 4 million copies in 9 months.

However, despite all the hype and praise, the Warhorse RPG lost every award it was nominated for to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at The Game Awards, and the game’s developers are poking fun at Sandfall after this humbling defeat.

Why it matters: It’s unfortunate that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 didn’t receive an award despite its brilliance, but seeing developers take it in good humor is nice to see.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 lost every award to Expedition 33.

On their official X account, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 resorted to memes and posted a dialogue option from the RPG that said, “Blame the French!” to make fun of its competitor, Expedition 33.

The game’s account posted memes throughout the ceremony as Sanfall’s title won a historic amount of awards, including Best RPG, Game of the Year, and Best Narrative Title, by beating out Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Warhorse community manager Sir Tobi also resorted to humor after losing The Game Awards, posting with a trophy and saying that his RPG was officially robbed.

But it was all in good fun, however, as the community manager posted a picture with some Sandfall Interactive developers to celebrate the monumental achievement of Expedition 33.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Many believe the Warhorse RPG should have won some awards.

Despite all the memes, many fans do believe that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 should have won the award for Best RPG, as it was a better role-playing title than Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Whatever the case, Warhorse doesn’t need the plaudits of The Game Awards because its RPG has already left an impact on the gaming community, as the title stayed in the Steam top 5 best-sellers for 20 weeks after launch, and also took home the European Game of the Year award.

Pragmata Faces Backlash From PC Gamers After Denuvo Protection Is Confirmed

Story Highlight
  • Capcom’s new IP, Pragmata, is facing significant backlash from PC gamers for relying on Denuvo.
  • The anti-cheat is nefarious for ruining performance in games, which has made gamers upset with Capcom.
  • Many gamers have decided not to buy the game until Denuvo is removed.

Many gamers are looking forward to Capcom’s all-new sci-fi franchise, Pragmata, an action-adventure experience that explores two unique protagonists as they traverse a cold lunar research station. It also had an amazing showing at The Game Awards with a new trailer.

However, the entry is already catching negative media attention. New developments confirm that Pragmata is indeed relying on Denuvo, which has caused a significant backlash among gamers who dislike the anti-cheat since it allegedly ruins performance in games.

Why it matters: Pragmata relying on Denuvo anti-cheat has brought a lot of backlash, as gamers argue it ruins performance. Many initially interested in the project have now decided to back out.

As shown by SteamDB, the controversial Denuvo was recently introduced to Pragmata on Steam, with gamers in various online forums discussing its sudden introduction.

Many users are quite upset with Capcom for still using the anti-cheat since Monster Hunter Wilds’ poor performance was sometimes attributed to its use of Denuvo.

Therefore, a large group has decided to ignore the game entirely, with a bunch only willing to buy after gamers and reviewers test its post-launch performance. On a good side note, the game’s demo is said to have incredible optimization.

pragmata
Pragmata’s demo is said to be heavily optimized, giving players hope.

Others argue that Capcom is already known for using Denuvo in all its games, but relying on the anti-cheat for a new IP that needs exposure may not be the best move.

Many of the game previews in the past praised the gameplay and called the delays worthwhile, so we will find out how well the game holds up in terms of performance despite using Denuvo on Steam.

Do you think Capcom’s Pragmata deserves facing backlash for adding the controversial anti-cheat system, or is this boycott an overreaction from some gamers? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Highguard Trailer Hits 10:1 Dislike-to-Like Ratio After Being Dubbed “Dead on Arrival”

Story Highlight
  • The Game Awards 2025 concluded with the reveal of Highguard, a multiplayer free-to-play shooter from ex-Respawn Entertainment developers.
  • This trailer has already hit over 7K dislikes, highlighting a 10:1 dislike-to-like ratio on YouTube.
  • Audiences have criticized the trailer for looking extremely generic and formulaic.

The Game Awards 2025 concluded more than 24 hours ago. This rendition of The Game Awards featured plenty of big game reveals, including the showcase of Leon in Resident Evil Requiem, two major Tomb Raider titles, and more.

Like past award shows, Geoff Keighley teased a major title for the closing announcement. This was followed by the debut of Highguard, a free-to-play multiplayer shooter from ex-Respawn Entertainment developers.

Unfortunately, initial reactions to this trailer have not been great, and the video has even racked up quite a lot of dislikes on YouTube already.

Why it matters: The free-to-play live-service shooter market has become very saturated, with recent attempts at the genre like Concord proving that players are not too interested in many more such games.

Highguard Dislikes on YouTube
Highguard Dislikes on YouTube Are Only Going Up

At the time of writing, Highguard has around 10x more dislikes than likes on YouTube.

The total count has reached 7.3K dislikes, and although this may seem low for now, it is important to note that the trailer itself doesn’t have the biggest audience either, at just under 60K views.

Over on social media, many users have also criticized the game for looking like yet another generic multiplayer shooter. Others have pointed out the absurdity of Geoff Keighley picking Highguard as the final reveal of The Game Awards.

Even in the YouTube comments, fans have made snarky remarks about nobody leaking the project due to obvious reasons, referencing Geoff Keighley’s statement about the former Titanfall developers working on the game in secret.

Also, many comments have already compared the title to Concord and Fairgame$, stating that there are already too many titles that serve the same purpose within the live-service genre.

Many even stated that Titanfall 3 would have been a much bigger announcement than Highguard, since fans have wanted a Titanfall sequel for the longest time. Nonetheless, initial reactions have not been the kindest to Highguard, and perhaps the game will fare better once it releases on January 26 for all to play.

What do you make of the backlash to Highguard? Do you think the game looks generic? Share your opinions in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

Leon’s Segments Turn Resident Evil Requiem from Pure Horror into High-Octane Action, Says Capcom

Story Highlight
  • Resident Evil Requiem will have dual protagonists: Leon Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft.
  • Leon’s gameplay will be action-packed, while Grace’s will be pure horror-filled.
  • Both characters have opposite personalities, presenting a great character dynamic.

After months of speculation, Capcom finally revealed Leon S. Kennedy as the other protagonist of the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem. As expected, the character is as cool as ever, and the studio has explained its dual-protagonist approach.

Capcom has explained how different an experience both the characters provide as Grace is a ‘scaredy-cat’, while Leon is a seasoned veteran. Their opposite personalities make their interaction and dynamic really fun.

Why it matters: In all recent Resident Evil games with dual protagonists, most of the time, both characters are trained agents; however, it’s really different this time, as Grace isn’t trained for combat.

Leon presents a completely different gameplay style from Grace in Requiem

Talking to Automation, Requiem’s director, Akifumi Nakanishi, discussed the character dynamics between Leon and Grace. He said that in Leon’s segment, the game turns from pure horror into a high-octane action game.

His (Leon’s) chapters focus on intense, adrenaline-pumping action. Grace’s sections, on the other hand, are the scarier ones.

– Akifumi Nakanishi

This means that Resident Evil Requiem combines all eras of the game. Till Resident Evil 6, the franchise was more action-focused, but since Resident Evil 7, it has had a bigger focus on horror, and the new title combines them.

Resident Evil Requiem
Grace is defined as the biggest scaredy-cat in all of the franchise

Now, of course, we’ve had untrained protagonists before in Ethan Winters, but Grace is being described as the biggest scaredy-cat ever in the franchise, which will boost the horror elements up a notch.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on February 27, 2026, and the pre-orders are now live. It is promising to be a great title based on how different it’ll be given both of its main characters’ opposite personalities.

What are your thoughts on Resident Evil Requiem gameplay shifting from horror to action with Leon? Let us know your opinions in the comments or join the discussion at the official Tech4Gamers Forum.

Steam Sees Over 19K Game Releases This Year, Sets A New Record

Story Highlight
  • New data from SteamDB reveals that Steam enjoyed the launch of over 19k games this year, setting a new record.
  • However, 7098 of these titles have fewer than 10 reviews, with about 2.2k having zero user reviews.
  • The number of games with 100 reviews also saw a decline this year compared to 2024.

Steam appeared when PC gaming was just beginning to take a proper shape, eventually becoming a global giant ecosystem for gamers. It continues to set new records, proving that its dominion on the market is still growing to this day.

New statistics now reveal that Steam has broken yet another record, seeing the launch of over 19k games this year. For context, the last year saw 553 fewer games launching on the store. But the new milestone also casts an equally large shadow on the platform.

Why it matters: Valve’s control on PC gaming has been increasingly successful even as competition rises. Another metric shows Steam is growing compared to other storefronts that are struggling or failing to keep up.

Steam
Steam saw the launch of over 19K games this year alone.

Steam tracker SteamDB reveals that almost half of the games launched this year—7,098 to be exact so far—had fewer than 10 reviews. It shows that they were either slop entries or failed to catch enough recognition to be successful.

About 2.2k of the overall titles have zero user reviews, while 5.2k have fewer than 50 reviews. As the pattern suggests, the number of games significantly drops as the number of user reviews increases in the statistics.

Compared to last year, there’s an increase in the number of entries with fewer than 10 reviews and a decrease in the number of games with over 100 reviews this year. There’s a similar worrying trend in games with over 500 reviews.

Steam New Record
Steam has been setting new records left and right over the last few years.

So, while the new record in the number of game releases is a great achievement for Steam, the pattern of more games having fewer reviews is concerning for the future of developers and the store.

On a side note, Steam generated over $16.2 billion in sales this year, with likely more revenue added since our report from last month.

Do you think Steam will continue to see an increase in game releases, or will this figure eventually decline in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

Half-Life 3 Is Reportedly Steam Machine’s Release Title, Hardware Launch Currently Set For Spring 2026

Story Highlight
  • Credible insider claims Half-Life 3 is a Steam Machine launch title, which is expected to arrive in spring 2026.
  • HL3 is no longer being announced this year, as Valve is allegedly busy deciding the console’s pricing due to the RAM crisis.
  • There’s a possibility that the Steam Machine could be postponed, which would also cause HL3 to be delayed.

A lot of leaks from multiple reliable insiders have made Half-Life 3 one of the industry’s worst secrets, but Valve has remained radio-silent on its existence. New details now reveal that the much-anticipated delay in its reveal is directly tied to the worsening memory shortage.

A credible insider iterates that Half-Life 3 is being prepared to be the Steam Machine’s release title, and all of Valve’s new hardware offerings—including the game—are currently set for a spring 2026 arrival.

Why it matters: Despite claims by multiple insiders, Valve is no longer revealing the game this year, as it is currently busy dealing with Steam Machine’s pricing dilemma due to the RAM crisis.

Reliable insider from Insider Gaming’s Mike Shaw confirms that Valve is still possibly deciding the price and launch window of Steam Machine, which directly impacts when Half-Life 3 would be announced to the public.

[Half-Life 3…] will be a launch title with the Steam Machine. There is a Concern, However, that they haven’t made a deicison on price, which is kind of holding back the announcement of anything else […] because of PC RAM prices.

-Mike Shaw, Insider.

There’s also a concern that the dwindling RAM stocks could continue to bump up their price exponentially, which would impact how the Steam Machine is priced. This could inevitably delay the console’s release window, leading to Half-Life 3 also being postponed.

Therefore, announcing Half-Life 3 right now would make little to no sense. Mike also clarifies that the sources providing this info are people behind some of his most successful leaks about Madden and other sports games.

Half-Life 3
Half-Life 3 is one of the industry’s most anticipated titles.

Half-Life 3 was said to be in the final stages of development earlier this year, with previous leaks revealing that it features a semi-open world. The physics in the game are also rumored to be revolutionary, but it’s best to take all these tidbits with a grain of salt.

Do you think Valve will launch the Steam Machine at a much higher price than expected due to the RAM crisis? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.

New Alien Game in Development, Described as Shadow of the Tomb Raider With Xenomorphs

Story Highlight
  • New Alien game in development described as Shadow of Tomb Raider with Xenomorphs.
  • The survival horror title seems closer to Resident Evil in terms of the details.
  • Multiple Alien games are in development, and this specific title is expected in 2028.

Following 2014’s Alien: Isolation, the franchise has stagnated, and later games couldn’t match Creative Assembly’s work in the survival horror genre. 2021’s Aliens Fireteam Alert was also a disappointment, and just when the franchise seemed to have hit rock bottom, one new report hints at a much-needed positive change coming.

A new single-player Alien title is under development, and, according to the report, it is described as Shadow of the Tomb Raider with Xenomorphs, and the action-adventure title will feature parkour and puzzle elements.

Why it matters: Alien fans have longed for an entry like this, and the description alone offers an optimistic vision for the franchise’s future.

The project codenamed ‘Marathon’ was previously thought to be dead as per the original report, but has seemingly switched developers, this time being under Eidos Montreal’s helm.

This single-player survival horror title is said to be set in a decaying space station, with players trying to survive against a mix of xenomorphs and spec ops units.

The story further reveals that gameplay elements such as puzzle sequences, stealth, resource management, and other survival mechanics are present, making the title seem awfully similar to the Resident Evil games.

Thus far, the known characters in the project include Aubrey, the protagonist, an engineer with parkour abilities thanks to his gear. Ryuzo is hinted at being the protagonist and uses the space station as his fortress. Ripley 8 from the movies will also be featured.

Currently, this project is in early development, with a planned release date of 2028. However, it’s also worth noting that multiple Alien games are in development, and this project seems different from Creative Assembly’s Alien Isolation sequel, slated for next year.

“I’m Not Getting Any Younger” — Casey Hudson Promises Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic Before 2030

Story Highlight
  • Star Wars Fate Of The Old Republic was recently announced at The Game Awards.
  • It was showcased with a cinematic trailer and is currently in early development stages.
  • Studio head has cleared it’ll release before 2030, after a recent rumor suggested otherwise.

The rumored mystery Star Wars game was finally revealed at The Game Awards to be Fate of the Old Republic, a spiritual successor to the Knights of the Old Republic. It created a lot of hype among fans, and we might have something on its release window.

A new report suggested that the Fate of the Old Republic could be years away, with its earliest launch potentially set for at least 2030. However, the studio head has confirmed that it’ll release before that.

Why it matters: Revealing games so many years in advance is always a risky move, as many things can go wrong. Even KOTOR Remake was announced years ago, and is yet to surface, so it’s good to see the studio has a release time in mind.

Hudson has confirmed the game will release before 2030

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier took to Bluesky and suggested that the earliest we could see the Star Wars game is 2030. This made sense considering the studio is working on the title only formed this year.

It’s a big-budget AAA title, and the development easily takes at least 3 to 4 years or more in some cases. Nonetheless, Casey Hudson has confirmed the release is planned before 2030 as ‘I’m Not Getting Any Younger’.

Star Wars FOTOR Release
Star Wars FOTOR might not be released in the next 5-6 years, at least

But for those who were expecting the launch to be in the next couple of years, there’s bad news. The after-2030 release was making fans scared, as we’ve unfortunately seen games that are revealed early get cancelled in recent years.

Nonetheless, Star Wars: Fate of The Old Republic will be a single-player narrative-driven experience. It is set at the end of the Old Republic and will expand the Star Wars lore even more, and it is now expected in the next 4-5 years.

What are your thoughts on Star Wars FOTOR launching in at least 2030? Let us know your opinions in the comments or join the discussion at the official Tech4Gamers Forum.

Jennifer English Becomes Common Voice Actress Across 3 Game of the Year Winners

Story Highlight
  • Jennifer English has been recognized for her work as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
  • She also contributed to Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3, both of which won Game of the Year.
  • Three of the last four Game of the Year winners at The Game Awards have featured the actress.

The Game Awards 2025 concluded with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 completely sweeping the show. Winning 9 of the 11 awards it was nominated for, this RPG also set a new record at the event a few hours ago.

Among other awards for the RPG, Jennifer English won the Best Performance title for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, thanks to her incredible performance as Maelle. In fact, the voice actress has been featured in three Game of the Year-winning titles now.

Why it matters: It seems Jennifer English has become the secret recipe for Game of the Year titles, with three of the four last winners featuring her in some capacity.

Jennifer English Took Home A Major Award For Her Work On The RPG

The last four Game of the Year titles at The Game Awards are as follows: Elden Ring, Baldur’s Gate 3, Astro Bot, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Interestingly, Jennifer English has played a role in three of these titles. Following her victory yesterday, her performance as Maelle needs no introduction, but she also delivered similarly impressive performances in both Baldur’s Gate 3 and Elden Ring.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, Jennifer English portrayed the half-elf cleric Shadowheart with both voice acting and motion capture. This role also saw the actress join twenty BAFTA 2024 UK Breakthrough talents in recognition of her work.

As for Elden Ring, Jennifer English voiced Latenna the Albinauric, a prominent side character found during the earlier part of the game. With the exception of Astro Bot, therefore, the artist has contributed to all of the last Game of the Year titles since 2022.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Jennifer English has also contributed to games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Wuthering Waves. Needless to say, the voice actress has already established quite a name for herself in the industry, and she is only getting started.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Dev Calls Out TGA, Says They Were Robbed of Potential Awards

Story Highlight
  • KCD2 community manager says that their RPG was robbed at The Game Awards.
  • The title was nominated in 3 categories, but couldn’t even win a single award.
  • Fans agree that Kingdom Come 2 deserved to win the best RPG award.

Going into the awards season, there were plenty of solid releases that were expected to bag at least a couple of awards. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was one of them, having already won the European Game of the Year award.

However, it failed to win any award at The Game Awards despite being nominated in 3 categories. Even the game’s community manager has called out TGA for robbing them of any potential awards.

Why it matters: Kingdom Come 2 was one of the finest releases of the year, especially in terms of RPGs. Fans also agree that it should’ve at least won in the Best RPG category over Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Kingdom Come 2 TGA
KCD2 community manager says that they were robbed at TGA

Warhorse Studios community manager, Sir Tobi, took to X to upload the picture of a TGA trophy with the caption ‘We have officially been robbed!’, which fans support, claiming it deserved at least one award at the event.

There is no doubting the quality of Expedition 33, especially after how it dominated The Game Awards, but there is also no denying that, in terms of RPG elements, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is far superior

It’s not clear if Toby called robbery, losing out on the best RPG award, or in general. However, we could assume they were talking about the RPG category, and they also uploaded an image with the Expedition 33 team to congratulate them.
