Arguably, Crimson Desert has changed mixed reviews into positive acclaim faster than anyone else in gaming history. Pearl Abyss immediately patched aspects of the game that fans didn’t like following a rocky start, updating the boss fights and improving transport.

The open-world title has already risen to a positive user score on both Metacritic and Steam while being a commercial juggernaut, selling more than 3 million copies. Now, Pearl Abyss has come out with another update addressing some new complaints from the Crimson Desert community.

Why it matters: After laying the foundations for a beautiful open-world, Pearl Abyss has displayed a masterclass in how to work on a game’s issues after launch.

In the new 1.01.00 patch, Pearl Abyss addressed critical player concerns like the game’s controls and its mount mechanics. Thanks to this new update, you can now obtain and summon up to 5 legendary animals like the White Bear, Silver Fang, and Snowwhite Deer in Crimson Desert.

Furthermore, movement controls in the open-world title have been improved, with players now getting a speed increase to fight the bosses. Stamina requirements for flight and Aerial Maneuvers have also decreased, so these abilities can be used more consistently.

Fans playing Crimson Desert with a keyboard and mouse will also face fewer issues now, as the patch has addressed multiple player concerns. Loading times have also been reduced for fast travel and revival to make the gameplay experience more seamless.
