Following incredible success with Marvel’s Spider-Man and its sequel, Insomniac Games is now gearing up to launch Marvel’s Wolverine later this year.
However, to nobody’s surprise, the team also has plans to follow up on the Spider-Man series with a third game, and fans will be glad to know that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 has now shown up via an IMDb listing.
Why it matters: A third Spider-Man game from the team has been teased on multiple occasions, so this listing suggests that the studio is making steady progress on the title.
Over on IMDb, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 now has a page on the website’s database.
According to the page, the game is now in production and familiar Insomniac Games veterans, such as Creative Director Bryan Intihar, are returning to work on the third entry in the trilogy.
Not much else is mentioned on the page, but this is yet another exciting sign for fans on the lookout for more information. Do note that Insomniac Games already teased a third game at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Moreover, leaks from a few years ago confirmed that the team had also planned something for Venom, who was playable in the last game.
Nonetheless, this is great news, especially since love for the superhero is currently at an all-time high.
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day performing the best out of recent Marvel films, many will be glad to know that the Web-Slinger will return to the world of games with a brand new (pun intended) title from Insomniac Games in the near future.
