Story Highlight
  • In a Reddit Q&A, Warhorse stated that it’s hard at work on a new RPG.
  • The only details revealed were that this game will be immersive, huge, and story-driven like the studio’s other projects.
  • The developers declined to comment on the rumored Lord of the Rings RPG.

Ever since Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 came out, the fortunes of Polish studio Warhorse have completely changed. The game has sold over 5 million copies around the globe and received multiple Game of the Year nominations, winning Best Game at the European Game Awards.

The RPG has cemented itself as one of this generation’s most memorable titles, and fans are excited to see what developer Warhorse does next in the genre. The studio has been tight-lipped about its future, but now we know for sure that it is working on another RPG.

Why it matters: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is by far one of the most influential RPGs of the modern era, and it will be exciting to see if Warhorse can top it with this upcoming title.

During a Q&A on the Gaming subreddit, Warhorse revealed that it is hard at work on a brand-new RPG that will be huge, story-driven, and immersive. The studio’s content director, Ondřej Bittner, refused to reveal any other details, only saying that the upcoming title will be massive.

Fans directly asked the Warhorse employees about the rumored Lord of the Rings project the studio is developing. In response, community manager Tom Grey answered that the developers can’t comment on any future games and will remain silent.

A flurry of players asked similar questions regarding this mysterious RPG, but Warhorse responded to everyone along the same lines. Hence, the only thing revealed was that a new RPG project is in the works and will stay true to the studio’s roots, with a rich, immersive world and fewer bugs this time around.
