  • The developer hasn’t done a similar project before but is quite confident.

Superhero games are on the rise as many major IPs are currently being developed. As of now, Iron Man, Black Panther, and Wolverine are among the most anticipated ones. However, another major project has just been announced.

With superhero games reaching new heights, Skybound has begun work on a new AAA Invincible game, and it is in development from veteran developers.

Why it matters: Invincible is one of the most popular superhero shows, and it has a lot of potential in the gaming industry.

Fund Raising For Invincible Game
Skybound Has Raised Over $446K In Funds For The Game

The CEO of Skybound Entertainment is thrilled to announce this project.

It is important to note that Invincible is relatively newer for mainstream audiences compared to the likes of Spider-Man and Batman. As such, this is also the first AAA game for this series.

Skybound has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the project, hoping to accumulate a massive budget.

At Republic, Skybound has raised over $446K for the game, and funding will go on for two more weeks. The studio consists of over 30 employees who are industry veterans. They bring experience from developers like EA and Activision Blizzard.

The experience leads to high expectations. However, this is Skybound’s first project on this scale.

The studio remains confident in delivering a game that lives up to Invincible’s destructive capabilities and popularity. This TV series is doing better than ever today, with season 2 becoming one of the highest-rated releases in recent years.

Omni-Man has also appeared in Mortal Kombat 1 already, so the franchise is slowly expanding into games. With the current popularity, we can’t wait to see what Skybound can do with an original AAA adaptation.

It should be noted that Invincible is likely to be a mature-rated game, with plenty of blood and gore like the source material.
