Another Remaster From PlayStation!

Story Highlight
  • PlayStation has officially confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn is returning via a remaster.
  • The new version promises improved visuals and enhanced gameplay.
  • The remaster arrives next month and will be available as a $10 upgrade for existing owners of the title.

A new version of Horizon Zero Dawn has long been rumored. Following months of leaks and speculations, a recent rating practically confirmed that this title would show up via an official announcement very soon.

While this became a controversial piece of information, it seems PlayStation is determined to push the Horizon franchise as much as possible. The gaming giant has just unveiled Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

Why it matters: PlayStation has recently announced the PS5 Pro. Thanks to new visual enhancements, Horizon Zero Dawn will serve as one of the gaming giant’s showcase titles for this console.

PlayStation’s latest State of Play promised more than half an hour of exciting games. During the livestream, the gaming giant shared new announcements, new looks at already-announced games, and more.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is said to contain over 10 hours of re-recorded conversations and various graphical enhancements. According to the State of Play, this remaster will bring the title on par with Horizon Forbidden West’s visuals.

Both Guerrilla Games and Nixxes Software are involved in the port. PlayStation also confirmed that the title will launch on October 31 for both the PS5 and PC. Existing owners can expect to pay just $10 for this new entry in the beloved franchise.

Horizon Zero Dawn Already Looked Quite Great When It Was Released

Interestingly, this is unlikely to be the only upcoming remaster from the gaming giant. If recent reports are to be believed, Days Gone will be up next and will receive a similar re-release for the PS5.

As for Horizon Zero Dawn, the announcement does not seem to have created much buzz. Fans are not too pleased about yet another PlayStation re-release, especially when there is demand for a Bloodborne remaster.
