Broke 3 Official Guinness World Records!

Story Highlights
  • The GTA 6 trailer was revealed ahead of schedule after being leaked.
  • Despite that, it managed to break three records and become the most-viewed non-music YouTube video in 24 hours.
  • The trailer may have become the most viewed video during this period if it had been released on schedule.

While there is still a lot of waiting for the release of GTA 6, the trailer has exploded in popularity. The game has been trending for a while, becoming a major topic for most gamers.

Rockstar Games’ latest trailer revealed the first major female protagonist for Grand Theft Auto in many decades, and she has already become a fan-favorite. The trailer is also packed with details, as expected from the developer.

Unfortunately, the trailer was leaked online, forcing the studio to put it out ahead of schedule. Still, the trailer broke three official records.

Why it matters: This popularity indicates that Rockstar Games and its IPs are unrivaled. No other developer commands the attention that this studio can boast.

GTA 6 has set a new Guinness World Record, becoming the biggest non-music video on YouTube in 24 hours.

The official record for the most views in 24 hours is 108.2 million, achieved by the K-pop song Butter. While this record appears out of Rockstar Games’ grasp, it may have been achievable if everything went according to plan.

Since the trailer was revealed before the planned time, the studio could not get the sudden burst of popularity it had expected. Nonetheless, the GTA 6 trailer is now the most-liked gaming video on the platform, with nearly 9 million likes.

This also makes it the biggest gaming reveal on YouTube, with Rockstar Games’ popularity eclipsing creators like Mr Beast.

We are happy to see Rockstar Games setting new records with GTA 6. Since the trailer was leaked and the studio did not get the moment it wanted, we believe this is the least that the talented team deserves.

As expected, GTA 6 looks unbelievable. With the return of Vice City, the developer has truly exceeded expectations, creating a rendition of this location that shows two decades of advancements in technology and game design.

GTA 6 has earned its place at the top of YouTube’s gaming category. While it may not have beaten everything on this platform, it is safe to assume that no other game will rival this trailer anytime soon.
