The hype for GTA 6 is at an all-time high, but there is still one question that every fan has been asking Rockstar: What will be the retail price of the open-world game? Now, the company has finally let the cat out of the bag and revealed how much the most anticipated game of all time will cost.
Why it matters: Pricing the game at $80 is a smart move by Rockstar, as a lot of fans were being put off by the $100 price tag.

In a new press release, Take-Two has revealed that the standard edition of GTA 6 will cost $80 at launch, while the ultimate variant will retail for $100. The company also announced that all pre-order purchases will come with a bonus pack called the Vintage Vice City Pack.
In addition, players who pre-order digitally will get even more perks, including the chance to pre-load the game a week earlier on November 12, 2026. One month of Rockstar’s subscription service for the franchise, GTA+, will also be included in the digital pre-order package for free.
The ultimate edition of GTA 6, which will retail for $100, comes with heaps of content, for example:
- Exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits, and car modification shops.
- special locations throughout the map.
- Side missions for Lucia and Jason that are exclusive to the Ultimate Edition.
- Tattoo shops, clothing shops, and saloons.

With the most burning question about GTA 6 now answered, fans only have to wait till November 19 to get their hands on the game and find out how realistic it actually is.
