Xbox Misses Out Yet Again!

Story Highlight
  • Rockstar Games says that GTA 6 will be best played on the PlayStation 5.
  • Sony and Rockstar have a marketing deal and worked closely on the platform features.
  • This could hurt Xbox Series sales, which have already been weak this generation.

The much-anticipated GTA 6 details were just revealed, including its $80 price tag and pre-order bonuses. We’ve already known that the game will be a console exclusive for a while, but it certainly prefers one platform over the other.

Rockstar Games says that the PS5 will be the best place to play GTA 6, as it integrates a lot of gameplay elements, providing the best experience. This highlights Sony’s marketing deal with the company, which Xbox missed out on.

Why it matters: Logically speaking, the PS5, more specifically the Pro console, would’ve been the best place for the title anyway. It is the strongest of the bunch and is expected to offer the best gameplay and visuals.

PlayStation 5 will be the platform of choice for GTA 6

Sony and Rockstar announced that PS5 is going to be the primary platform for GTA 6. The note says that thanks to the two companies’ close partnership, the title will be best played on Sony’s consoles.

The game will have seamless integration with Dual Sense features. The PS5 could also offer better performance as it uses its SSD to its full potential, which will lead to next to no loading screens.

Xbox Revenue Decline
Xbox seems to have missed out once again

Xbox has missed out big time here, as this would mean people would be more inclined towards PlayStation. They had been hoping for a sales boost, but Sony’s marketing deal means their consoles will be on top.
