New Wheels, Pedals, and Simulators Take the Spotlight!

[Press Release] Fanatec and Trak Racer are showcasing new simulation hardware at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026. The biggest announcement is Fanatec’s Project Obsidian steering wheel, which is targeting a 2027 launch. Other highlights include a new Red Bull Racing steering wheel, Podium Pedals Sport, and Trak Racer’s expanding range of racing and flight simulators.

Both brands are part of the CORSAIR family and are displaying products designed for different simulation setups.

Fanatec Project Obsidian Targets 2027

Project Obsidian is a new steering wheel design featuring a 5-inch high-resolution color LCD beneath a single piece of glass. The central surface integrates the display, RevLEDs, and rotary switch illumination. It also features RGB-backlit buttons and an all-aluminum structure.

The wheel is Fanatec’s first product designed with SimHub compatibility in mind. It supports detailed telemetry through USB or Wi-Fi, with wireless UDP telemetry helping provide compatibility with console games.

Fanatec is displaying the prototype to gather feedback before development continues. Pricing and a specific release date have not been announced.

New Red Bull Racing Wheel Arrives in November

The ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing steering wheel draws inspiration from the RB22 Formula 1 car and celebrates 22 years of Red Bull Racing.

It features a 2.7-inch white OLED display, revised ergonomics, and forged carbon components, including those used in the preinstalled Podium Advanced Paddle Module. The design also incorporates the car’s distinctive jacquard pattern.

Unveiled by three-time F1 Sim Racing world champion Jarno Opmeer, the wheel is scheduled to launch in mid-November 2026.

Fanatec is also preparing an officially licensed Oracle Red Bull Racing version of its ClubSport Formula Cockpit for home users, with improved adjustability and third-party peripheral compatibility.

Podium Pedals Sport Now Available

Fanatec’s Podium Pedals Sport launched on October 16, 2026, through the company’s website. The two-pedal set features GT-style aluminum pedal plates, support for left-foot and right-foot braking, and extensive mechanical adjustments.

Users can expand the setup with a separately sold clutch module and carbon fiber components from the Podium Pedals Formula range.

Trak Racer Expands Its Simulation Hardware

Trak Racer is showcasing two TRZ Motorcycle Simulators featuring passive mechanical feedback and a proprietary steering system designed to reproduce natural rider movement.

Its other products include the Porsche 91XTR Hybrid Simulator, BWT Alpine Formula One Team TRA Hybrid Simulator, and Aston Martin Aramco AMR26 Formula Racing Simulator.

The company is also displaying the Airbus TR550 Flight Simulator, the TRK Truck Driving Simulator, Hot Wheels-branded racing cockpits, and a new white version of its TR160 Racing Simulator Cockpit.

More Hardware on Display at SimRacing Expo

Fanatec is presenting new ClubSport GT Cockpit accessories, including D-BOX mounting brackets planned for release before the 2026 holiday season.

The ClubSport F1 Racing System is also making its European public debut. It combines the PlayStation-licensed ClubSport DD+ wheel base, rated at 18 Nm, with a Formula V3-based steering wheel and Podium Advanced Paddle Module.

Visitors can experience Fanatec setups across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, including the upcoming PS5 version of BeamNG.drive ahead of its planned Early Access release on October 19, 2026.

With new hardware arriving throughout 2026 and Project Obsidian planned for 2027, Fanatec and Trak Racer are expanding their offerings across racing, motorcycle, truck, and flight simulation.
