Cyberpunk 2077 Averaging 100K Steam Players Daily Since Phantom Liberty

Going Strong Nearly One Month After DLC Release!

By now, everyone is familiar with the redemption story of Cyberpunk 2077. Despite a significant morale hit for CDPR in 2020, the team’s continued work on the RPG has led to 25 million sales.

Part of this success comes from Phantom Liberty, an expansion exploring a different part of Night City and introducing new characters along the way. This expansion and the 2.0 update have resulted in rejuvenated interest from the masses.

Last month, Cyberpunk 2077 reached 246K concurrent players on Steam, an all-time high since its 2020 release. Nearly a month later, the game is still averaging 100K players on Steam each day.

Why it matters: Many games this year have been the target of immense anticipation but have not been able to retain players. This aspect sets CDPR’s latest release apart from most AAA titles.

According to SteamDB, Cyberpunk 2077 peaked at over 105K players in the last 24 hours. Furthermore, it confirms that the RPG comfortably reached peaks of over 100K concurrent players over the past seven days.

Stat tracking websites like Steamcharts also confirm that the RPG maintained similar numbers in previous weeks. Therefore, CDPR’s efforts have resulted in prolonged interest from audiences.

These figures are made even more impressive when considering the frequency of AAA releases in 2023. Steam players have seen games like Counter-Strike 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and more this year.

However, despite the competition, Cyberpunk 2077 has managed to maintain its relevance. This result puts the game alongside the biggest releases of 2023, including the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3 and Starfield.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Following the changes to core system mechanics and the Phantom Liberty expansion’s release, Cyberpunk 2077 delivers unmatched immersion and first-person gameplay.

Its class-leading visuals, detailed animations, and memorable characters have encouraged hundreds of thousands of players to give the game another chance on Steam and other platforms.

As fans of CDPR’s work, we also recommend trying Cyberpunk 2077. The game is cheaper than ever today, allowing fans to try the best version of the RPG at a much lower price than $60 or $70.

Evidently, the game has been through a rough period, but CDPR’s commitment and dedication have allowed the title to emerge as a completely revamped offering.

This challenging journey has also taught the team many crucial lessons, leading to hope for a complete package once the already announced Cyberpunk sequel is released in the coming years.
