Amid the excitement, the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla director has rejoined the series.

Why it matters: Ubisoft hiring legacy talent once again is a good sign, since the older Assassin’s Creed games were generally more successful than the recent ones. The series is also turning things around right now.

As shared on LinkedIn by the series’ Head of Content, Eric Baptizat, best known for directing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, has returned to Ubisoft to help lead the flagship franchise.

Baptizat is back at the company as Game Director for the Assassin’s Creed brand. The move is interesting since Valhalla remains one of the franchise’s most successful modern entries.

Moreover, Eric Baptizat previously worked on beloved Assassin’s Creed entries. He was among the most important designers on both Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Unity. The developer also directed Dead Space Remake at EA not too long ago.
