The DLC Is Reportedly Set In Würzburg!

Story Highlight
  • An expansion for Assassin’s Creed Hexe has already leaked.
  • The DLC takes place in Wurzburg, an ancient city located in the German state of Bavaria.
  • The game will reportedly feature magic in some form after Ubisoft initially removed it.

While 2026 is expected to be dry for Ubisoft after Black Flag Resynced, it has reportedly lined up Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Far Cry 7 for next year. Recent rumors also suggest that the former title’s reveal is coming soon, as more details continue to leak online.

New datamined details now show that a full-fledged season pass with an expansion for AC Hexe has already leaked even before the game’s official reveal. The DLC is reportedly set in Wurzburg, an ancient city located in the German state of Bavaria.

Why it matters: The DLC is expected to expand the original game’s story instead of just featuring some cosmetics and missions, something akin to what we saw with AC Shadows.

A DLC for Assassin’s Creed Hexe has already been datamined.

This tidbit comes via the reliable dataminer and Ubisoft insider RogueTx on Twitter, who holds a credible track record with Year 1 of xDefiant leaks.

He shared a datamined snippet from the game’s source code showing a line that references a season pass for Assassin’s Creed Hexe, ‘Season_Pass_Wuerzburg_Expansion.’

This finding indicates that Ubisoft is already developing a DLC for AC Hexe alongside the main project. Therefore, the expansion could launch soon after the game comes out in 2027, like in the case with AC Shadows.

Regardless, the insider shares that AC Hexe is a lot darker and grittier than Shadows visually, with Ubisoft taking the negatives from the feudal Japan experience and turning them into positives for this game.

Assassin's Creed Hexe
AC Hexe needs to surpass all expectations set by the Black Flag remake to be successful.

Magic is also returning to the game in some form after Ubisoft allegedly removed it earlier in development. Additionally, previous leaks highlighted that Assassin’s Creed Hexe will feature parkour that is a mix of classic releases and Shadows.

We could be hearing about the game soon enough if Ubisoft intends to launch it early next year. The current placeholder release date is reportedly listed as June 2027 for Hexe, but it is always subject to change.
