On 23rd of April, Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and its system requirements. Yes, the famous pirate-themed Assassin’s Creed, which was first released in 2013, has returned.

This Ubisoft remake confirms the integration of the Ray Tracing Global Illumination (RTGI) system, ray tracing reflections, rebuilt assets, entirely modernized water, and support for micropolygon and PBR pipelines, making it a serious remake rather than a simple remaster.

On consoles, the company claims 60 FPS as a performance option, with three graphics settings available on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro: Performance at 60 FPS, Quality at 30 FPS, and Balanced at 40 FPS when using a 120Hz display. Furthermore, the PlayStation 5 retains RTGI across all modes, with ray tracing reflections added in Quality mode.

The minimum system requirements for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced at 1080p 30 FPS, Low Quality + DLSS/XeSS/FSR on Balanced:

More information revealed that the game supports AMD FSR 4, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, and Intel XeSS 3 upscaling and frame generation technology. It supports ultrawide monitors, offers unlocked framerate, and will include a performance benchmark.

Regarding editions, the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Standard Edition will cost €59.99, while the Deluxe Edition will cost €69.99 and feature the Master Assassin Character and Naval packs.

Finally, the Collector’s Edition retails for €199.99 and includes an Edward figurine, a logbook, a metal pin, a steelbook case, and other physical accessories. The game will not include multiplayer or the Freedom Cry DLC, and the remake reorganizes the narrative to focus more on Edward, including new sequences and moments that explore his emotional issues.

Furthermore, this remake has a redesigned fighting system with new parries, more aggressive finishers, and faster pistol motions. It also modernizes stealth by allowing you to kneel anywhere, improving Eagle Vision, and enhancing interaction with shadows and low light.

In addition to the game, the naval combat has been modified, the Jackdaw has new officers, there are more personalization options, ten new sea shanties, parkour has been expanded, and the landscape is more responsive due to dynamic weather and destructible items.
