- Xbox has confirmed it has received offers from multiple studios for Arkane Lyon.
- These include Ubisoft and at least 2 other studios, and it could even sell it to the management.
- This likely means that the in-development Marvel’s Blade game could survive too.
Xbox announced that as part of its latest round of restructuring, it is laying off 400 employees and shutting down Arkane. They did leave the doors open for a potential buyout, extending the deadline until December.
Now, Xbox has confirmed that it has received multiple bids for Arkane Lyon from Ubisoft Entertainment and at least two other studios. It is also weighing in on selling the studio to its current management as well.
Why it matters: There was a huge uproar when Xbox announced its decision, given how popular the studio is. Despite some misfires, they were behind the Dishonored series and in the middle of Blade’s development.

Bloomberg has confirmed that Xbox has received bids from Ubisoft and multiple other studios for Arkane Lyon. Based on this, the studio is now likely going to survive if Microsoft strikes a deal with any of the bidders.
There have also been calls for Xbox to hand the studio over to its management, and they are reportedly considering going that route as well. This means that Marvel’s Blade game will likely survive as well.

Now, Ubisoft has been struggling to keep its current studios afloat, so geographically it might make sense, but financially it doesn’t. The other bidders are unknown, but whoever it is, Arkane Lyon will probably stay afloat.
