Only A Matter Of Time Before More Switch 2 Games Hit Playable FPS On PC!

Story Highlight
  • Switch 2 emulation has progressed rapidly since the console was jailbroken a few days ago.
  • Mario Kart World is already playable via emulation on PC and iPhone 18 Pro.
  • Donkey Kong Bananza also reportedly runs on PC. Splatoon Raiders also already enters a playable state.

AI-assisted reverse engineering has propelled console emulation to new heights in recent months, with the PS5 especially making rapid progress since mid-2026. Many of its exclusives are already playable on PC at decent FPS via emulation and recompilation.

Nintendo Switch 2 was also jailbroken a little less than a week ago, as gamers began to add modded characters in Mario Kart World to show the milestone. A new report reveals the breakthrough has now opened the floodgates for rapid emulation progress on the handheld.

Why it matters: Given the swift pace of progress, Nintendo Switch 2 emulation could soon go out of control on PC. We can expect a lot of Nintendo exclusives to appear on other platforms over the next few weeks.

Various sources online show that Switch 2 exclusives like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza are already running on PC at playable FPS.

@Willfaustcuber on Twitter has managed to run Mario Kart World on macOS and iPhone 18 Pro using the nxnative fork. Multiple videos shared by the account show the game running well on both devices.

Meanwhile, @CentroLeaks claimed Donkey Kong Bananza is already running on PC via recompilation, although he has only shared an image of the project.

Lastly, @MakoCW is already running Splatoon Raiders on PC. The latest progress reported by the account reveals it already gets through the character select screen, but all the unimplemented elements make it lag quite a lot for now.

Modders and homebrewers were expecting the Switch 2 emulation to begin after a few weeks of effort. However, making console exclusives playable just within days of its jailbreak suggests that the dilemma is more dire for Nintendo than expected.
