Sharma Seems Dedicated to Improving Xbox!

Story Highlight
  • Asha Sharma has been anonymously resolving customer tickets personally every month.
  • The CEO has been very transparent and seems to be dedicated to improving Xbox.
  • The company has seen an improved reputation since she took over despite the layoffs.

Earlier this year marked a major shift in Xbox leadership that saw Asha Sharma taking over from Phil Spencer as the company CEO. Since then, there have been some major changes, but the company does seem like it’s on a better route

Before the layoffs, fans had grown so fond of her that they even believed she had been doing a better job than Spencer. Sharma has revealed that she’s also been secretly handling support tickets herself to resolve customer issues

Why it matters: Despite everything that has happened since her takeover, Sharma has undeniably been very dedicated to her position, and Xbox’s overall state has improved as well, even in the hardware department.

Asha Sharma New Xbox CEO
The new CEO has apparently been resolving customer tickets anonymously herself

The Wall Street Journal profiled Asha Sharma, revealing that the Xbox CEO has been anonymously handling customer support tickets every month to get better feedback from their users to help improve and resolve their problems.

She looks at all sorts of problems, from ecosystem issues to specific game-level issues, and personally works to solve them. This is real dedication from the CEO and something that most people at her position don’t bother with.

She has also prioritized hardware and brought back console exclusives

Aside from the unfortunate thousands of layoffs, Sharma has listened to the fans a lot. She reduced Game Pass prices, pushed an improved first-party lineup, and has brought back exclusives to Xbox after the aggressive multiplatform push.
