- RX 9070 XT is AMD’s most popular GPU based on the latest Steam hardware survey.
- It is AMD’s latest flagship GPU and trades blows with the RTX 5070 Ti at a lower price.
- Despite this, Nvidia still dominates the list with around 73% of the overall share.
AMD has now become the market leader when it comes to CPUs, but for graphics cards, most still consider Nvidia the definitive choice. However, since the market imploded due to the memory situation, it is becoming a much more popular choice.
While AMD GPUs have seen price hikes too, they aren’t as bad as Nvidia. This is the reason that the company’s current flagship model, the Radeon RX 9070 XT, has become their most popular graphics card on Steam.
Why it matters: The GPU trades blows with the RTX 5070 Ti and even surpasses it in raw rasterization in certain scenarios. Considering the current Nvidia pricing, Team Red’s offering makes much more sense.

According to Steam’s Hardware Survey, the RX 9070 XT is now the most popular AMD GPU on Steam. The GPU has a 1.46% overall share at the moment and has surpassed the long-popular Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080.
Overall, AMD now holds about 19% of the overall Steam GPU share, which has gone up in recent years. However, despite this, Nvidia remains the dominant force with nearly a 73% share, and the RTX 3060 is the most popular GPU.

Even if we compare the latest-gen GPUs, the RX 9000 series is behind most Nvidia cards. Nonetheless, now with the RTX 5070 Ti reaching over $1,000, and the RX 9070 XT still being $700-800, it presents itself as the more logical choice.
