Don't Miss Out On Exclusive GTA 6 Footage From Netflix!

Story Highlight
  • Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick says the Netflix partnership for GTA 6 is Rockstar doing something different for marketing.
  • He says fans should buy a Netflix subscription if they don’t already have one.
  • The CEO refers to the upcoming look at GTA 6 as an “extended trailer” for the game.

GTA 6 is set to become the world’s first game to host a Netflix premiere for its next big look later this month. Much has been said about this decision, but Take-Two and Rockstar Games appear satisfied with the Netflix deal.

In fact, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is now urging fans to subscribe to Netflix for the premiere.

Why it matters: The Netflix premiere offers just a few hours of exclusivity, after which the same GTA 6 footage will be available across all platforms.

Speaking to IGN, the Take-Two CEO discussed what’s to come for Grand Theft Auto fans regarding the Netflix showcase.

He states that the deal is an example of Rockstar Games doing something different and more creative with its marketing strategy. Zelnick also warned fans to buy a Netflix subscription so as not to miss the reveal.

If you’re not a Netflix subscriber, you definitely should be one.

The Take-Two boss remained cryptic about the contents of the upcoming reveal itself. However, he referred to it as an “extended trailer” rather than a gameplay showcase or reveal.

What this means for the GTA 6 footage remains to be seen, but Rockstar Games will almost certainly reveal snippets of gameplay during this premiere, if not fully uncut gameplay altogether.

Of course, there’s no guarantee whether the masses will actually buy a Netflix subscription for a few hours of exclusive footage. However, because the game in question is GTA 6, the possibility of this happening certainly can’t be ruled out just yet.
