As Ubisoft’s turmoil continues with low stocks, layoffs, and studio closures, it has a lot riding on its upcoming roster of games. These include the Black Flag Resynced and the next mainline entry in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Hexe.

According to a new report, Ubisoft wants to be efficient with its releases and has reportedly accelerated the development of Assassin’s Creed Hexe, and it is now targeting a June 2027 release from its previous rumoured holiday release.

Why it matters: Hexe is a very interesting prospect since it completely changes the core Assassin’s Creed franchise by introducing darker tones and witchcraft, which is previously unheard of in the series.
