- CDPR is currently working on The Witcher 4 as its next major release.
- A Senior Cinematic Designer working on the RPG has said that players aren’t ready for what the team is working on.
- The Witcher 4 is expected to make use of Unreal Engine 5 and its many features for a cutting-edge experience.
Despite the announcement of brand new DLC for The Witcher 3, CDPR is currently giving its all to work on The Witcher 4. Promising a more interactive world while building on the foundations of its predecessor, The Witcher 4 is shaping up to be one of the industry’s most exciting upcoming releases.
Adding to the hype, a CDPR developer has hinted that many players are simply not ready for what is coming.
Why it matters: As seen in Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, CDPR has a tendency to craft incredible RPG experiences. The team is setting its sights on making its most ambitious project yet for its next title.

Felix Pedulla recently began working on The Witcher 4 as a Senior Cinematic Designer. The developer worked at Larian Studios until last year, departing the team to join CDPR.
In his latest LinkedIn post recalling the events of the last few months, the developer noted that this transition has been a major one. He also concluded his post by stating that the studio is building something incredible for The Witcher 4.
Know what we are building for The Witcher? Yeah… people are not ready.

Because Felix Pedulla is working as part of the cinematics team, his statement may have been made in reference to CDPR’s work on this part of The Witcher 4.
In the past, the team’s cinematics have been held in high regard, largely due to the exceptional facial models and animation work, but it seems CDPR is pushing things even further with its first Unreal Engine 5-based release.
For context, the game is said to be making use of technologies like RTX Mega Geometry, Metahuman, and more for an incredibly advanced experience that delivers on all fronts. As such, CDPR could deliver some of the industry’s best animation and cinematic work to date with its upcoming release.
