- Pearl Abyss has officially confirmed that it is working on a Crimson Desert DLC.
- It will be a meaningful addition to the story, hinting at a bigger scope expansion.
- Updates to story, combat, and quality of life are also planned for the upcoming months.
Crimson Desert is undoubtedly one of the biggest breakout titles of the year. Developed by Pearl Abyss, it was off to a shaky start, but the studio patched it out, and now it offers some of the best exploration ever in a video game.
Despite the hundreds of hours of gameplay that it already offers, Pearl Abyss has announced that Crimson Desert DLC is now in development. There will also be multiple updates to the existing game in the upcoming months.
Why it matters: Pearl Abyss has nailed it with the breathtaking experience its RPG provides. You can spend so many hours, and still not discover everything the game has to offer, and the DLC will add to it.

The Crimson Desert DLC has been revealed as part of a developer’s update that defines the game’s roadmap from July to September. However, the expansion will come later and will be a “meaningful addition” to the journey.
Unfortunately, that’s all the information that’s been unveiled as of yet, but since it is being poised to be a big addition, we can expect that it will be a larger scope expansion, and hopefully, even introduce new locations.

As for the rest of the developments, Pearl Abyss has listened to the story feedback and is working on improving it, making Kliff’s journey more engaging. Other updates include new combat content and quality of life improvements.
