- Due to a mistake on Steam, game files for Forza Horizon 6 have leaked online.
- The title is still a week away, and pirates have already managed to crack and release it.
- It isn’t clear if the leaked files are the launch version or an older build of the game.
The next iteration of Microsoft’s popular racing franchise, Forza Horizon 6, is scheduled to release in just a few days. With a new Japan location and upgraded visuals, fans are hyped. However, a rather unfortunate event has just occurred.
Due to a mistake on Steam, users were able to download Forza Horizon 6 game files with a size of over 155GB. The files even surfaced on SteamDB, and even pirates have gotten a hold of them, leaking them online to the masses.
Why it matters: Based on the massive size, it seems that the entirety of the game has leaked. However, releasing them for the masses is a huge breach of piracy, and it shouldn’t really be supported or played.

First surfacing on Reddit, the Forza Horizon 6 game files have now been taken down from the platform, but as stated earlier, it was already too late, and pirates had already accessed and cracked the title.
Now, while the file size is huge, we don’t really know if this whole title has leaked, or even if it’s the launch build or not. But all in all, this isn’t a situation Playground Games would’ve been hoping for a week before launch.

Again, leaking games early isn’t something we condone; it goes against the law. Especially considering how hard developers work on the games for years. Anyhow, Forza 6 will undoubtedly sell well anyway, with launch set for May 19.
