Forza Horizon 6 Could Turn Out To Be The Biggest Game Of This Quarter Due To Immense Fan Hype

However, The Game Is Still Tracking 15% Below Forza Horizon 5 In Media Statistics.

Story Highlight
  • Forza Horizon 6 could be the biggest success of the April-June period, according to social media data.
  • The game is among the top 500 most searched items on Google and YouTube.
  • Furthermore, the racing simulator is tracking a lot higher than other titles releasing in Q2, like 007: First Light.

To the surprise of some, Forza Horizon 5 has turned out to be the best-performing first-party title from Xbox this generation. The game’s port on the PS5 has been an overwhelming success for Microsoft, selling 5 million copies and generating over $100 million in revenue.

Unsurprisingly, a sequel to the game is in development and is set to launch in May 2026 for PC and Xbox Series consoles, with a port for the PS5 releasing later this year. If fan hype is any indication, the sequel might turn out to be an even bigger success for Xbox and Microsoft.

Why it matters: The Forza Horizon series has been a bright spark in an otherwise dark generation for Xbox, and it looks like that will continue.

According to analyst Colan Neese, data points to Forza Horizon 6 turning out to be the biggest release of 2026 Q2. Fan hype for the racing simulator is through the roof, as it ranks in the top 500 across both Google and YouTube searches with over 300,000 queries every week.

On the other hand, Forza Horizon 6 has been a massive success on TikTok, generating 400 million views from over 20k videos despite being 7 weeks away from launching. Other May releases like 007 First Light have only amassed 70 million views on the platform, highlighting the huge gap in fan hype between the titles.

Hence, it looks like Forza Horizon 6 will be the biggest sales success from April to June, at least according to the data. Colan Neese also revealed another interesting tidbit, saying that the sequel is still tracking 15% below Forza Horizon 5 in these statistics in the same period pre-release.

Forza Horizon 6
Forza Horizon 6 will be the franchise’s biggest open-world map.

However, this could be because the 2021 title came out during a time when the impact of COVID was still apparent, and many people were still home. Furthermore, considering how Forza Horizon 5 was the biggest racing game launch in the last decade, being 15% behind it isn’t too bad.
