Uncharted is undoubtedly one of the best PlayStation franchises of all time and holds a legendary status in the gaming world. The series has unfortunately not been revisited for a long time, but that could change soon.
There has been no new addition to it ever since 2017’s Lost Legacy. However, a recent post from the game director seemingly teased a new title, and an insider has now claimed that a new Uncharted is indeed in the works.
Why it matters: The Uncharted franchise has a huge loyal fan base that has been waiting patiently for years for Naughty Dog to finally announce something. Now, years later, we might not have to wait too long for that.
Alir, who recently also leaked the new upcoming Metro game announcement, has also claimed that a new Uncharted game is in development. This comes after a report that the studio is currently working on two projects.
One of them is, of course, the already announced Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and the other, according to the source, is a new addition to the popular action-adventure series that people have been longing for.
Now, it is difficult to verify the report’s credibility, but if it is indeed in the works, this is huge. A Thief’s End gave closure to Nathan Drake’s story, but it also, in a way, set up a sequel with Drake’s daughter as the lead.
