Grand Theft Auto games have always been intended for grown adults because of their mature themes. This has been the case with all of the past releases, but the latest title seems to be taking things a step further. GTA 6 has received an M/18+ rating from age rating boards, but the New Zealand and Australian listings specifically say that it contains extreme adult scenes, making the title much more mature and explicit than GTA 5. Why it matters: The game has all the usual M-rated content like violence, drug use, bad language, and more, but clearly states that it contains adult scenes, which are present in GTA 5 too, but weren’t as extreme. Australian and New Zealand GTA 6 listings on the PlayStation Store clearly mention the inclusion of adult scenes. The description makes it clear that it’ll be more explicit than GTA 5, which was a little generic. Now, these kinds of scenes have been present before, but GTA 6 seems to put a lot more emphasis on them. It also makes sense since this is the first time the protagonists are a couple, with James and Lucia as the leads. So, this latest upcoming release is more than ever strictly for adults, and should be kept away from children. We are getting very close to the eventual release, with just over a month remaining until November 19. What are your thoughts on GTA 6 featuring more explicit adult scenes compared to the last title?
