- Amazon has revealed a first official look at the God of War TV Show.
- Fans are skeptical from the initial look and claim it looks more like a cosplay.
- The expectations are quite high based on how successful the franchise is.
God of War is one of Sony’s most loved exclusive franchises of all time. Fans have grown to love its characters and the brilliant stories. So, when Amazon announced a TV adaptation, fans were really excited for it.
Amazon has now finally revealed the first official look at the show, and there is a lot of skepticism around it. For one, it looks like a cosplay and doesn’t look remotely close to a high-budget TV show.
Why it matters: The first look will be really off-putting for people who have been looking forward to the show. The casting looked promising, but the first image suggests a lot of work needs to be done.

The first look at the show hasn’t been met with the enthusiasm that Amazon might have expected. It gives us a look at Kratos, played by Ryan Hurst, and Atreus, played by Callum Vinson, and it isn’t promising.
While Vinson’s Atreus looks fine, Hurst’s Kratos doesn’t seem to share the powerful demeanor of his counterpart from the games. Fans also point out that the actor hasn’t bulked up enough for the God of War role.
Despite this, the series is still in early production, so Amazon might listen to the feedback and improve things. It is currently also too early to judge, and that too by a single image, so let’s hope for the best.
