- Arc Raiders has been dubbed the Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards 2025.
- The title beat Battlefield 6, Elden Ring: Nightreign, and more for this victory.
- This extraction shooter continues to be extremely popular on all platforms.
Arc Raiders has shown the potential of multiplayer games in 2025, becoming the center of conversations. As an extraction shooter, the title already has a massive community of players, and it seems things are changing for the better with each passing day.
At The Game Awards 2025, Arc Raiders has also been recognized for its excellent multiplayer gameplay. The title has completely outshone the competition to win the ‘Best Multiplayer Game’ award.
Why it matters: Multiplayer gaming had plenty to offer in 2025, so this win is no small feat.

The following games competed for the Best Multiplayer Game award:
- Arc Raiders
- Battlefield 6
- Elden Ring: Nightreign
- Peak
- Split Fiction
Among these titles, Battlefield 6 was the strongest contender to Arc Raiders. EA’s latest Battlefield offering has been deemed a true return to form for the series, taking the IP to new heights, both in terms of commercial and critical performance.
Battlefield 6 also took home the award for Best Audio Design at the same event. However, it seems Arc Raiders came out on top when looking at the overall multiplayer offering. Also, FromSoftware’s first multiplayer-focused offering was nominated in this category.
Although Elden Ring: Nightreign was not one of the favorites to win, it certainly offered an interesting alternative to the traditional multiplayer experience of the other games present on this list.

Many Arc Raiders fans even demanded the title be nominated for Game of the Year. Although this did not end up happening, these fans will likely be glad to see the extraction shooter receiving recognition for its multiplayer excellence.
