Battlefield 6 has been a return to form for the franchise after years of underwhelming releases. It has its drawbacks, including smaller maps and other issues, but it’s still among the best multiplayer titles released this year.
Now, EA has officially stated that Battlefield 6 is the ‘best-selling shooter game of the year’, which seems like an answer to competition like Black Ops 7 and ARC Raiders, of which the latter has been highly successful.
Why it matters: As of October 15, Battlefield 6 sold over 6 million copies, showcasing great sales in less than a week. Now, a month later, we can expect the sales to have gone a lot higher.

This confirmation comes directly from Electronic Arts, which thanked the fans for making the title the best-selling shooter game of the year. This has really been the year of Battlefield, and it’s still going strong.
The title is still averaging over 200K players daily; however, the recent reviews have dropped to ‘Mixed’ due to bugs, gameplay issues, and more. But EA seems serious about the release, and they’d be looking to fix the issues.

For now, EA hasn’t revealed the exact numbers till now, but other analytics hint that it could be nearing over 10 million units sold. Nonetheless, Battlefield 6 has put the series back in the picture, and the studio would be delighted.
