- Arc Raiders has performed incredibly well right off the bat.
- The game has dethroned Battlefield 6 as Steam’s best-selling title.
- Many even hope to see the extraction shooter winning Game of the Year next month.
Arc Raiders has taken the gaming world by storm. Delivering an exciting blend of extraction gameplay and post-apocalyptic elements, this multiplayer shooter has become yet another big hit in the world of gaming this year.
Earlier this month, Battlefield 6 launched to similar effect, selling over 6 million units in under a week. Interestingly, it seems Arc Raiders has now dethroned Battlefield 6 on the best-sellers list, at least on Steam.
Why it matters: Battlefield 6 marked the biggest launch in the series’ history, so it is quite interesting to see Arc Raiders outperforming the title.

According to SteamDB, Arc Raiders was the top game by revenue last week. When excluding free-to-play titles like Counter-Strike 2, Battlefield 6 and Dispatch followed in second and third place, respectively.
What makes Arc Raiders’ current performance so impressive is the fact that the game had nowhere near as much anticipation as Battlefield 6. In fact, the title has even become one of the highest-rated releases of 2025 already.
Even considering current Steam sales, Arc Raiders is currently the overall top-seller on the platform when excluding free-to-play titles. Until recently, these charts were being dominated by Battlefield 6.
Perhaps Arc Raiders’ unique spin on the extraction shooter genre has won players over and brought about a major shift. It will also be interesting to see how the game holds up as the weeks go by.

For now, Arc Raiders is the talk of the town, and streamers like Shroud even believe the game deserves to win Game of the Year over a title like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
