Guaranteed 800 MB/s Write Speeds for 8K and 12K RAW

[Press Release] Biwin has introduced the Amber CB500 CFexpress Type B, the first card to earn VPG800 certification from the CompactFlash Association. With a guaranteed sustained write speed of 800 MB/s, it ensures stable 8K RAW, high frame rate, and uncompressed video recording without dropped frames.

The CB500 delivers up to 3750 MB/s read and 3500 MB/s write speeds, supporting 4K, 6K, 8K, and 12K RAW video. Paired with the Amber RB510 reader, transfer speeds reach 40 Gb/s, cutting post-production time and streamlining workflows.

Certified VPG800 performance ensures consistent recording during long takes, making it ideal for multi-camera live broadcasts, VR/AR, virtual production, and oversampled 12K capture. It works seamlessly with cameras from Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, RED, Fuji, DJI, Blackmagic, and Hasselblad, offering broad compatibility.

Equipped with an aluminum alloy shell, thermal gel cooling, and rugged protection, the CB500 withstands extreme temperatures, shocks, drops, and X-rays. Available in 128 GB to 1 TB, it’s built for demanding shoots, from sports to time-lapse photography.
