Helldivers 2 Reportedly Sold Almost 1 Million Copies on Xbox In Less Than A Week

Currently The Top Seller on Xbox!

Story Highlight
  • Helldivers 2 sold 1 million copies on PC and PS5 within just three days of its initial launch.
  • Now, nearly a week after launching on Xbox, a well-known analytics firm has shared a new sales estimate.
  • According to the firm, the game has already sold close to 1 million copies on the Xbox platform.

Helldivers 2 saw immense success when it launched on PC and PS5 simultaneously. According to reports, the game has sold over 18 million copies, with 12 million of those on PC, making it the leading platform for the title.

More recently, the game launched on Xbox, and it’s already off to a flying start. It’s currently the best-selling title on the platform and has sold nearly 1 million copies, marking a huge success in just a short span.

Why this matters: Helldivers 2 arrived on Xbox a full year after its original release, so for it to perform this well on a rival platform is pretty impressive.

Helldivers 2 PC PS5
According To A Report, PC is the leading platform for Helldivers 2.

According to Alinea Analytics, a firm that has been consistently sharing insights about game performance, Helldivers 2 sold around 926,000 copies on Xbox just six days after launch. That’s almost a million copies in under a week.

For context, when the game debuted on PS5 and PC, it sold a combined 1 million copies in its first three days. So to see the Xbox version reaching nearly the same number in less than a week highlights just how strong the demand still is.

It’s also worth mentioning that Helldivers 2 was the best-selling PC game in the EU in 2024. That further supports the idea that PC is the dominant platform for the game so far.

While these Xbox sales numbers are impressive, it’s important to remember they come from an analytics firm and are estimates, not official figures. So while they’re likely close, they should still be taken with a grain of salt.

As you may already know, PlayStation, just like Xbox, is leaning into a multiplatform strategy. While we might not see many PlayStation titles launching on Xbox anytime soon, the profitability of recent releases might push Sony to reconsider.

There’s also growing speculation around day-one PC launches for PlayStation games, though for now, timed exclusivity still seems to be the preferred approach.
