Both Games Dominating Top 5 PS5 Pre-Order Charts!

Story Highlight
  • KCD2 and AC Shadows are among the top sellers on the PS Store.
  • Both titles have been part of huge controversies regarding DEI implementation.
  • Ubisoft has a lot riding on Assassin’s Creed Shadows since it could save or end the company.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Assassin’s Creed Shadows are two of the biggest topics of debate in the gaming industry these days. While it was anticipated that their sales would suffer due to all the recent controversies, both titles seem to be doing quite well.

On the PlayStation Store, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Assassin’s Creed Shadows are among the top-selling games.

Why it matters: Assassin’s Creed Shadows is somewhat a make-or-break title for Ubisoft, so it will be hoping the sales turn out well. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 also has a lot riding on it.

Surprisingly, people are also interested in buying the more expensive editions of both these titles. So, the Gold and Deluxe editions of KCD2 and AC Shadows have made it into the top-sellers list on the PS Store.

Moreover, Doom: The Dark Ages Premium Edition makes the list. KCD2 and AC Shadows also had a bit of a rivalry in the past, so it is quite interesting to see them both at the top of the list.

The last trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows has turned a lot of heads towards it. Apart from the Japanese culture controversy, the game now looks fun with improved combat, parkour, and stealth, and could still save Ubisoft from bankruptcy.

As for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it was never a bad-looking game in the first place. The controversies began when it was banned in Saudi Arabia for immoral scenes. Overall, the previews were quite positive and sales point toward a potential hit.

Ultimately, both the games are very close to release now. The studios for both of the titles will be hoping for positive results, especially Ubisoft who is losing stocks at a very fast pace and faces the threat of being acquired.
