Intergalactic Lead Responds To The DEI Backlash, Says ‘You Mad Bro?’

Intergalactic Has Been Under Heat Since Its Reveal!

Story Highlight
  • Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophert, Naughty Dog’s recent IP, has been receiving a lot of hate due to DEI concerns.
  • Witcher 4’s protagonist, Ciri, has also been receiving hate for the same reason.
  • The former’s lead on her official Instagram handle responded to the backlash by posting a meme and saying, ‘You Mad Bro?’

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was a surprise reveal during The Game Awards 2024. However, the fandom didn’t really meet the developer’s expectations due to DEI concerns.

Due to that, Naughty Dog had to turn off the comments section. The hate is constantly increasing as the game’s trailer has even surpassed Concord’s dislike record. Unfortunately, the title’s lead has also been facing backlash even though she’s a great actress.

Tati Gabrielle has acknowledged the backlash and responded with ‘You Mad Bro?’ which is likely to cause more controversy.

Why it matters: Targeting the actress for her role in a game isn’t acceptable as she is just doing her job, which she gets paid for.

Ashosaurus0, a Reddit user, noticed Gabrielle posted a story on her official Instagram handle, with the post targeting those who have been hating on the Intergalactic main character and Ciri from Witcher 4.

While many believe Naughty Dog is digging up its own grave with its latest title, the hate for Ciri is totally unjustified. Hating the main character of a game is a different thing, but criticizing the actress behind it seems a little too harsh.

Despite the massive backlash, Gabrielle is excited to work with Niel Druckmann, as she literally called him a ‘Video Game God.’ Durckmann also praised the actress quite a bit, comparing her to Ellie from TLOU.

Ciri From The Witcher 4, Along With Intergalactic Lead, Have Been Under A Lot of Heat Due To DEI Concerns

It is understandable why fans didn’t like the character design of Intergalactic’s main character, but we know little to nothing about the game. Fans should at least give Naughty Dog the benefit of the doubt and wait for further reveals. Hopefully, we will hear more about the sci-fi title soon enough.
